SSS Tenta- Cuddles Card

As soon as I saw this cute little octopus image from Simon Says Stamp I wanted to make it into a card.  This is the first one but it certainly will not be the last from the "Tenta-Cuddles" set.  This is day number 30 of Kathy Racoosin's Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge .
This card is going to be my entry for today.

My inspiration for the layout started with the leftover bits and pieces that I had on my craft desk.  The "Instant Camera Die" and the "Stitched Rectangles" background panel cut from white cardstock are both by Lil Inker.  I have had them both for some time.  The patterned paper is taken from "Birthday Bash" 6 X 6 pad by Honey Bee Stamps.
I made a mask for the octopus and stamped the background images over that mask.  I used a blending brush with Hero Arts inks to color the blue background.   Then removed the mask and colored with Copic Markers.

Thanks for dropping by for a visit.  Your comments, questions and suggestions are always most welcome.

You Are A Star

The card I am sharing today was created for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Reach for the Stars".  I love this theme because it is great for masculine cards.  My card is a fun slimline shaker card.

The stars are shaker windows and I used Micro Beads in Silver and Gold to fill them.  I love the way the beads sound when shaken. The die is from Simon Says Stamp called "Vented Star".  The stamp set is also from Simon Says Stamp called "Seeing Stars".  My slimline panel is a Whimsy Stamps die, "Slimline Card Builder Die", which is a good value if you are looking to start making slimline cards.

Stamps:                             Simon Says Stamp "Seeing Stars"

Lawn Fawn "Favorite Earthling" Card

Today I am sharing a cute birthday card I made for a grand nephew. His birthday is right around the corner.  This card will also be my entry in this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  The challenge theme is "Moving Parts".  We are to add some interactive element to the care with their showcase company suggestion being Lawn Fawn.  Perfect for me because I recently purchased some slimline card dies from Lawn Fawn and I had the interactive pull tab die.

I used my Lawn Fawn dies for the stitched slimline panel and the pull tab slider interactive mechanism.  The tree line die will look familiar if you received the Hero Arts June 2020 MMH kit, I used it to make a partial diecut background for my village scenes.  There are two partial cut tree line panels.  I used a Copic Marker to draw in the streets.  Below is the card with the fun reveal when you pull up the slider.

 Supplies:

Stamps:        Lawn Fawn "Village Heroes " LF2327  & Dies LF2328, "Beam Me Up" LF1597
Dies:              Lawn Fawn "Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-On" LF1822 ,
"Small Slimline With Lift Flaps" LF2358
Hero Arts     MMH June 2020 Kit   currently sold out
Inks:              Hero Arts     "Intense Black
                          Ranger         "Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide"
Copics:          R27, R29, G05, C3, C1, C9, Y18, Y04, BG23, V12  & BG70
Gelly Rolls:  XPGB#700 Stardust, XPGB#800 Clear & XPGB#849 Black
(My Gelly Rolls are older and I can't find a link
although I think they are still out there)

Thanks so much for dropping in to my blog.  Your comments, questions or suggestions are always very welcome.

Lawn Fawn Really High Five

Today I have for you another slimline card using products from Lawn Fawn.  I am entering this one in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week's challenge was to create a "Bright and Cheerful" card and I think this one qualifies.  I am also going to include it as a contribution to Kathy Rac's 30 Day Challenge.  If you haven't participated in the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge before it is a no pressure and supportive challenge where Kathy encourages you to set aside 10 minutes a day to color.

I used a cloud stencil from SSS "Clouds For Days"  and "Tumbled Glass"  Distress Oxide for my sky.  The hillside die is Lawn Fawn "Stitched Hillside Border" inked with "Peeled Paint Distress Oxide".  The die used for the grass is also from Lawn Fawn "Grassy Border".
All the the rest of my coloring was done with Copic Markers.   To make my balloons glossy I applied "VersaMark Embossing Ink" directly to the colored balloons and used a clear embossing powder to heat emboss them.

Supplies:

Stamps:        Lawn Fawn " Really High Five" LF2215 & coordinating dies LF2216
Dies:              Lawn Fawn "Large Slimline With Sliders" & "Stitched Hillside Border"
