Creative Chemistry 103 Homework Day 5/6

I wanted to share my homework for day 5 of the Creative Chemistry Class.  This was my attempt to recreate a look that Tim shared.  He used dark alcohol ink colors and created a piece that looked like a vintage negative.  The technique is called "Alcohol Ink Stamped Resist on Yupo".  Worth taking the class for this alone.  Check it out at Here . 

I couldn't find the colors that he used so I used the darkest one I owned already.  Instead of using a cotton towel like the one he used (being lazy or impatient or both) I grabbed a sponge that was handy in my workspace.   I had used the sponge for working with Pan Pastels.  It removed the Archival Ink beautifully just like the cloth but.... I noticed a happy accident.   The sponge must of had a residue of gold Pan Pastel on one of the sides  because it left a gold shadow.  I love it.  I don't know if I can reproduce the effect, but I think it is a wonderful accident that I will try to make again.

This is the card that I created with the focal art from my homework.  The background layer is a sheet of the Textile Surface that I embossed with an embossing folder.  I sponged a bit of distress ink over the embossing to make it pop out the detail.
