Creative Chemistry 103 Homework

I have been busy learning and practicing new technique this week.  This is my first card using a Distress Crayon Textured Resist for the background.  Even though I have had the Distress Crayons for awhile, I needed to learn the ways to use them.  There could be no better professor than Tim Holtz.  I am loving the class, Creative Chemistry 103.

This card is also going to be my August card for the Card Chain Challenge.  I try to do the challenge every month.  It is great fun to be a part of an international exchange and the inspirations for the cards really do challenge my creative chops.  Everything from the color palette, the card layout, the birds and the sprinkle of sequins are all part of my efforts to meet the challenge this month.  Hope you will check it out. too.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to check out my homework card.  For all the technique in the background piece I am going to refer you back to the master....Creative Chemistry 103 .

  3. Love this one! I probably wouldn't think of that coloring for those guys but it looks really great and that background too! I think it kind of softens the birds.
